A Case That Shook Mexico: The Tultitlán Baby Abandonment
The abandonment of a newborn in Tultitlán, State of Mexico, has left the nation in shock. As investigations unfold, authorities have revealed unsettling details about the case, exposing the roles played by both parents in the tragic incident.
Recent reports indicate that Diana Jaciel “N” did not inform her workplace about her pregnancy. After giving birth at her workplace, a local bakery, she allegedly told her employer that she was simply experiencing her menstrual cycle. Shortly after, she handed the baby to Lucio David “N”, who later abandoned the infant in the streets of Tultitlán.
Employer’s Testimony: “She Never Said She Was Pregnant”

During an interview with N+, the bakery owner disclosed that Diana Jaciel “N” had only been employed for less than a month and was still in a trial period, working part-time. He stated that he was unfamiliar with her personal life and had only seen Lucio David “N” when he came to pick her up.
According to the employer, he was absent on February 11, the day of the incident. When he returned, he found Diana Jaciel “N” leaving the bathroom, claiming she had stained it due to menstruation. He later cleaned the area and went about his business, unaware that a newborn had just been delivered inside the facility.
The bakery owner also mentioned that Diana never reported any pregnancy or health concerns on her job application. Had she disclosed her condition, he claims, he would have assisted her in any way possible.
Authorities Investigate Both Parents
Initially, Diana Jaciel “N” reported Lucio David “N” to authorities for abandoning their baby. However, the case took a dramatic turn when WhatsApp conversations between the two surfaced, revealing that the abandonment had been a mutual decision.
As a result, both parents are now under investigation by the State of Mexico’s Attorney General’s Office. Meanwhile, the abandoned newborn is under the care of the DIF municipal child welfare agency, where he is reported to be in good health after receiving medical attention.
Grandmother Seeks Custody of the Abandoned Baby
In a surprising development, Lucio David “N”’s mother, Dulha Utrera, has expressed her desire to obtain temporary custody of the child. The State of Mexico’s authorities have yet to confirm whether they will consider her request. This tragic case continues to develop as authorities piece together the full story behind the shocking abandonment. The investigation will determine whether the parents will face legal consequences for their actions.
