Father of Abandoned Baby Allegedly Confesses in Leaked Audio

The case of a newborn baby abandoned in the State of Mexico has taken a disturbing turn after leaked WhatsApp voice messages allegedly captured the father’s confession. Lucio “N,” 18, and Diana Jaciel “N” remain in custody, facing charges of attempted homicide after leaving their newborn in a plastic bag on the street.

The audios, reportedly sent by Lucio “N” to his mother, Dulha Utrera, surfaced after the court’s first hearing on February 16, where both parents were placed under preventive detention.

Leaked Audio: Father Allegedly Admits to the Crime

The leaked messages, shared by journalist Nacho Lozano, provide chilling insight into the father’s state of mind after abandoning the child. In the recordings, the young man reportedly explains how he was confronted by his girlfriend’s family after the incident went viral.

“We were in the room, well, where I stayed with her. Then her uncle and mother came down. They asked me what I did, and I said, ‘What do you mean?’ Then they showed me the video.”

Lucio describes the moment his girlfriend’s family found out about the abandonment through social media. Outraged by the viral footage, they allegedly verbally and physically assaulted him before kicking him out of their home.

“They started yelling at me. Her mom just said, ‘I want you to leave. I don’t want to see you again. Grab your things and never come back.’ Her uncle just slapped me.”

He also mentioned that he left the house in a rush, unable to take important personal documents.

“I grabbed what I could. I couldn’t even take my documents, just my wallet with my ID, a jacket, a sweater, my wallet, and my charger.”

“I Was Under Pressure,” Says Lucio

Perhaps the most unsettling part of the audio leaks is Lucio’s attempt to justify his actions. In the recordings, he reportedly claims that he was acting under pressure and did not fully understand what he was doing at the time.

“I was acting under pressure. I don’t know what was in my head. I just left the baby and walked away.”

Lucio and Diana remain detained as they await their next hearing on February 20, when the court will decide whether to formally charge them with attempted homicide.

What’s Next in the Investigation?

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the abandonment, including whether the baby’s mother played a direct role in the incident. The leaked audios may serve as critical evidence in the case, shaping the prosecution’s argument.

This shocking case has sparked outrage across Mexico, with many calling for stricter measures to prevent child abandonment and protect vulnerable infants from neglect and harm.
