The Mexico City police have arrested two suspects in connection with the robbery of reggaeton artist “El Bogueto” that occurred on January 17, 2025, in Xochimilco. The thieves stole a safe containing valuable items, including a Rolex watch and a gold pendant engraved with the artist’s name.

Authorities identified the suspects as Kevin Robledo Murillo, alias «Dorian,» and Brandon Arrieta Barrios.

How the Robbery Took Place

The incident occurred at El Bogueto’s residence in Xochimilco, an area known for its historic canals and cultural heritage. On the night of the burglary, intruders broke into the artist’s home and fled with a locked safe that contained:

  • A Rolex watch
  • A gold chain with a custom “Bogueto$” pendant
  • Other valuable personal belongings

Following the report, the Secretaría de Seguridad Ciudadana (SSC) launched an investigation that led officers to Centro Valle San Lorenzo, Iztapalapa, where they suspected the criminals were hiding.

Police Operation Leads to Arrests

After tracking the suspects, authorities spotted suspicious activity in Iztapalapa, specifically at the intersection of Río Argelia and Río Chimalpopoca.

First Arrest: Drug Trafficking and Stolen Goods Found

Officers noticed a man handling a suspicious plastic bag commonly used for drug distribution. Upon conducting a search, they found:

  • A plastic bag containing marijuana
  • 66 yellow packages of crack cocaine
  • Cash
  • A gold pendant engraved with «Bogueto$»
  • An ID card belonging to an unidentified individual

The suspect was immediately detained, confirming his connection to the El Bogueto robbery case.

Second Arrest: Firearms and Drugs Seized

During continued surveillance at Río Soto La Marina and Río Mississippi, officers identified another suspect engaged in suspicious activity related to narcotics. Upon searching him, they found:

  • A firearm with a loaded magazine
  • Six rounds of ammunition
  • Crystal meth
  • Cocaine in rock form
  • Four small bags of marijuana
  • A wallet containing two bank cards
  • Cash and a mobile phone

This suspect was also arrested on-site, facing multiple charges, including drug possession, illegal firearm possession, and theft.

Legal Consequences and Ongoing Investigation

Both suspects were transferred to the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office, where they will face formal charges for burglary, drug trafficking, and firearm possession.

Authorities continue investigating whether the suspects are part of a larger criminal network, as their drug-related activities suggest ties to organized crime.

What Happens Next?

Mexican authorities are working to:

  • Recover the remaining stolen items
  • Ensure proper legal proceedings against the suspects
  • Investigate potential links to organized crime

For “El Bogueto,” the robbery is a wake-up call for increased security. The artist has yet to publicly comment on the arrests but has received an outpouring of support from fans on social media.
