Valentina Gilabert, the 18-year-old influencer who was allegedly stabbed by fellow content creator Marianne “N,” has awakened from a medically induced coma. Her mother, Maureen Papon, confirmed the news on Wednesday, February 12, stating that while Valentina is regaining consciousness, she is experiencing severe anxiety due to the trauma.
Valentina’s Recovery: A Fragile Progress
Doctors are gradually reducing Valentina’s sedation, allowing her brief moments of awareness.
«She’s waking up little by little, experiencing a lot of anxiety for obvious reasons. She’s opening her eyes and knows we’re here,» her mother shared with the press.
Although her condition is improving, she remains in intensive care, with doctors closely monitoring her recovery before moving her to intermediate care.
Fighting for Her Life After a Brutal Attack
Valentina was placed in a medically induced coma following the attack to undergo multiple surgeries aimed at stabilizing her condition.
On February 11, her family revealed that the next 24 hours would be critical for her survival. One of the most severe injuries involved her hand, which required reconstructive surgery due to multiple stab wounds.
«Her hand suffered multiple stab wounds. It was the most affected area. She underwent reconstructive surgery, and we hope she regains full mobility, but nothing is certain yet,» her mother explained.
Marianne “N” Faces Legal Consequences
Marianne “N,” a 17-year-old TikTok influencer, was officially charged with intentional bodily harm and linked to the case on February 11. A judge has set a 60-day period for further investigation.
Valentina’s legal team is considering requesting a reclassification of charges to attempted femicide, arguing the severity of the attack warrants a more serious charge.
A Case That Shook Social Media
The attack on Valentina Gilabert has sparked widespread discussion on social media, raising concerns about violence among young influencers and the dangers of online conflicts escalating into real-life violence.
As Valentina continues her battle for recovery, her supporters remain hopeful that justice will be served.
